Mountaineering

Glencoe and the surrounding mountains of lochaber including Ben Nevis have been the seat of mountaineering in Scotland for centuries.

The specatcular and rugged mountain and hill formations offer routes from the easy to the exctremely hard depending on your persuasion.

There are days out and spectacular views and experiences for every one, wether its a visit to the Lost valley in Glencoe where the Clan MacDonald used to hide their stolen cattle or a scramble along the AOnach Eagach ridge in Glencoe, the narrowest mountain ridge on the British mainland. Ben Nevis has a path to the summit or a multitude of more challenging routes, scrambles and climbs.

At Glencoe Activities our leaders and instructors are all qualified and very experienced hold Mountian Leader UK awards and the Mountaineering Instructors Award, Moutaineering Instructors certirficate and being members of the Assocoation of Mountaineering Instructors. An indication of the quality and high standards aexpected of any professionals working in the mountains.
